Why I want counseling Why I want counselingMood, anxiety issueLess enjoyment, more self-doubt and anxiety since March 2020. I might be a little depressed. My concerns1. Feels crippling at times (waking up, randomly, but not when engaged with interests), but okay at others 2. Since it’s relatively new, concern about it getting worse, 3. I’ve tried to work on it, with only minor success Why it might be happening1. Lifelong—too sensitive to and influenced by others’ opinions of me. Currently my housemate because he’s who I have most contact with. Not blaming, have tried to work on it, with minor success. 2. Changes with getting older 3. Blood pressure meds 4. Issues coming up with meditation (I’m guessing) 5. Unfulfilled ambition 6. Alcohol 7. Sugar 8. Aspirin 9. Covid isolation (I don’t feel isolated) but less interaction with others may be why I’m too sensitive to my housemate. 10. The politics of 2020 was stressful What I’ve done about it1. Meditate 2. Spoken to housemate, attempt to disengage (don’t think it’s all me but try not to assign blame, take responsibility for how I feel, but have not been fully successful) 3. Drink less 4. Exercise 5. Engage with projects 6. Trips for a change of scene (two or three a year) Information on community / senior housing resourcesWhy1. Like / need my own space (and roommate issue) 2. Been thinking of it for a few years 3. Possible—move closer to the mountains (Weaverville) 4. Possible—move to a drier climate for arthritis ( " ) My needs1. Location—decent of course, with a nice view, close to nature, close to resources 2. Affordable What I’m looking for1. Brief therapy 2. Tools 3. Information |
